Mr Jean-Charles Thuard

CEO, Legrand India

As CEO & Managing Director, Mr Jean-Charles Thuard drives Legrand India to proactively Live the Advantage. Aligning the subsidiary’s actions with the greater vision of the Legrand Group, he seeks to consolidate its leadership position in the Indian market by launching new products, targeting new market segments, and strengthening India as a base for business operations.

With an over-three-decades association with the Legrand Group since 1981, he has acquired the experience in top management positions:
- Business head in France until 1997
- MD, Legrand Singapore from 1998 until July 2000
- MD, Legrand India until July 2005

As Marketing & Strategy Group Vice President at the global headquarters, he identified opportunities and made strategic recommendations for the Group’s long-term development (August 2005 - September 2010). He was simultaneously responsible for successfully deploying these strategies across the different group subsidiaries and countries.

Mr. Thuard then headed Legrand China until January 2013, after which he assumed responsibility for the Indian subsidiary.

Mr Mukesh Chawla

COO-Director, Legrand India

Having started his career in Purchasing and strategic sourcing with Escort Ltd, Mukesh Chawla now oversees Operations management and Supply Chain Management in India and heads the IPO and Regional Logistic Hub.

  • Rich experience of over 8 years in Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing with leading automobile companies from 1983 till 1991.
  • Was responsible for localization as AGM, (Vendor Development) at Peugeot Ltd till 1998.
  • Oversaw ERP deployment in India for Mapics till 2001.

Mr Chawla has led a multi-cultural purchasing team at Legrand Singapore to bring synergy and optimise the region’s spend. He streamlined purchasing processes for Group companies.

Instrumental in the creation and implementation of supply chain for the overall group in India.

Mr Chawla is reputed for his business-mapping prowess, best practices’ implementation and re-engineering capabilities.

Mr Ronan Marc

Director & CFO, Legrand India

As Group Finance Director (CFO) of Legrand India, Ronan Marc’s focus is acquisitions integration, profitability increase, and process adaptation to sustain further growth.

Mr Marc’s innings with the Legrand Group has been a long one; he came on board in May 2000, and has served in an influential capacity across functions and geographies.

From industrialising the global Mergers & Acquisitions process, Mr Marc has directly run full deals in Australia, Russia, Turkey and Mexico. As CFO in France, he oversaw 30 plants throughout the world, and was directly responsible for 10, then turned his keen eye on profitability improvement, tax burden reduction and adaptation to the later crisis in Russia. In 2016, he was recognised “CFO of the Year – India” by Asset magazine in Hong Kong.

With his wealth of experience, Mr Marc oversees a team of more than 200 finance professionals and has streamlined treasury management, improved balance sheet management, and introduced sophisticated electronic banking capabilities.

Mr Deepak Pande

Director-Human Resources, Legrand India

In his 20 years as Director-Human Resources, Group Legrand India, Deepak has skillfully engineered the transition of organization into a professionally managed multinational organization adapting a global mindset.

He envisioned and institutionalized the foundation of Human Capital Program - LIVE (Legrand Integrated Values & Excellence) consisting of behavioural & process management tools blended with business excellence model for effectively supporting the organizational culture, business objectives and most importantly, providing leadership for the evolution of a shared Vision & Mission for the organization.

Deepak has also been instrumental in conceptualizing and implementing e3, “Legrand’s Competency Framework of Excellence” which has been the driving-force for the organisation’s Performance & Talent Management Program.

Deepak is Post graduate in Human Resource Management from Mumbai University. He has gathered incomparable experience across industries, from Banking and Chemical, to Engineering, and Electrical & Building Infrastructure. In the course of his career as Strategic HR Business Partner he has gainfully contributed in designing HR strategies & policies, Change management, Post acquisition integration, Restructuring, Start-up operations and Management of multi business–multi unit HR function.

Deepak has a strong philanthropic streak in his DNA having worked pro bono for Career Counseling of students and actively involved in community development projects in tribal areas.

His excellent domain knowledge of all aspects of HR is balanced with great people skills and the capacity to support business as a trusted strategic partner.

He has created a link between the dreams & action for all Legrandites and energized their personal & business life resulting into ambitious all round growth for the organization.

Mr Sameer Saxena

Director-Marketing, Legrand India

Sameer Saxena handles the marketing function for three independent Group brands divisions in India: Legrand, IndoAsian and Numeric.

He uses the expertise acquired over 23 years in strategic marketing (M&A) product program and distribution and channels. His role encompasses:

  • Outlining the long-term business roadmap for each business division, and the product roadmap and brand strategy for the three independent brands
  • Identifying new technologies that may shape potential opportunities, and map the competition landscape for building competitive strategy for Legrand.
  • • Reviewing, analysing and adapting the yearly business plan for pricing, product launches, brand initiatives, promotions, and so on

Mr Samir Kakkar

Director-Sales, Legrand India

Samir Kakkar dreams, lives and breathes sales. 24 years of his 30 year-long professional life have been dedicated to Legrand India, during which he has experienced and excelled at every aspect of the Sales function.

From coordinating Legrand’s sales activities, achieving sales objectives and market shares, and managing distribution channels, to supervising products’ performance, enhancing customer relationships and handling resources, Mr Kakkar has applied all his training and experience in devising competitive marketing and sales strategies, and in providing strong leadership.

Mr Laxmana Murthy

Vice President-Supply Chain Management, Legrand India

Mr Laxmana Murthy’s layered understanding and in-depth knowledge of the entire supply chain is the outcome of a rich experience of above 25 years of leadership across functions, including supply-chain, purchase, quality control and operations.

His expertise sees him engaged in a range of roles; from mapping demand forecasts and managing the complete supply chain, to ensuring fulfilment of the Legrand promise for the last mile delivery to the customer. He is also responsible for the integration and smooth transition of acquired brands into the Legrand organisational framework.

Mr Murthy received the Express Logistics Leadership Award for the Supply Chain Visionary of the Year. Under his leadership, Legrand India has won a number of awards.

Mr Arvind Jain

Vice President-Purchase, Legrand India

From 2010, Mr Arvind Jain has managed Purchasing for Legrand India in 14 manufacturing locations across 5 entities.

He brings to bear over 3 decades’ varied experience and qualifications, contributing to the successes he has achieved at Legrand India, ranging from Automobiles, Gen Sets, Cigarette Manufacturing, and FMCG, to Machine Building, Packaging and Printing, and Electrical industries.

Mr Jain is involved in every aspect of Purchasing for Legrand India, and is completely hands-on with the manufacturing-assembly-materials management process; from planning, purchase, procurement and stores, to dispatch, import/ export and logistics.

It is not just the employees at Legrand India who have benefitted from his dedicated administration. Under his leadership, vendor management, training and certification programmes and new approach of collaborative working with vendors to evolve feelings of partnership amongst them; have helped establish Legrand India’s sterling reputation in the industry.
